And bring Europe to their knees with laughter. Before there was Idol, American Idol, and Deutschland sucht ein Superstar there was the Grand Prix and now renamed the Eurovision song contest. A contest held once a year where each of the European countries send a representative band to show their prowess -- no holds barred, the best song wins.
If a picture is worth a thousand words...then this video of the 2nd place band from the 2007 Eurovision contest is clearly worth many, many more.
This, by the way, is culture...just as much as the story to come in Erin's next entry about the opera.
Oh ya, one more thing. The words are a mixed gibbrish of German, English, and Russian. So if you find yourself understanding parts of this, you are not hallucinating.
